WHEN TO STEAM-

• For preventative care- steam 1-3x per month as desired

• For Fertility-Women who are experiencing fertility challenges should steam once per week, and maybe twice during pre-ovulation (after cycle ends), to make sure that the tissue is moist and that the cervical fluids are clear and copious. Expect to steam for three months before seeing results.

• For PMS: For greatest results steam 3x monthly, one week prior to menstruating

• For Cysts, Prolapse, Pelvic Pain, Fibroids, endometriosis-Steam 2-4x a week or 2-4x per month (24+ steams). Expect to steam for 6-12 months before seeing results

• After DNC or miscarriage-You can begin to Yoni Steam once your bleeding has ceased and there is no sign of infection.

• For postpartum-wait 9 days , make sure you are not bleeding and that there is no infection. Complete Yoni steaming 3x per week for 4 weeks to facilitate healing and toning of the uterus and vagina

• If your challenges are chronic, you may want to steam up to two to three times per week to ensure the greatest result until desired results

WHO SHOULD NOT YONI STEAM
-Pregnant women or those who think they may be pregnant (this can alter hormone levels and cause contractions of the uterus which can lead to miscarriages)
-Women who have Intrauterine Devices aka IUD (can cause IUD to dislodge, opt for yoni pearls instead)
-During any internal infections (cervical, uterine or ovarian inflammation), or a fever, until the symptoms have passed
-Women should NEVER steam whilst menstruating or when open sores or blisters are present
-Those who are unable to remove genital piercings for steam

WHAT TO EXPECT
Your menstrual cycle can and does change after doing a yoni steam. Often, there is a great deal of material that is "encrusted" to the inside of your womb, which is expelled after completing the yoni steam. The herbs have a powerful effect on the uterus, dislodging much of what is stuck. Sometimes this means your flow will be very heavy, dark and thick for just a day or two, and other times it just extends the length of your period to get it all out. Ultimately, your next period will be much lighter and more pleasant than ever before. These are normal cleansing reactions and a good sign that your womb is cleansing. Other than feeling relaxed and pampered, you should not expect to see results immediately after the steam (there may be no visible discharge at the time).

MY PERSONAL EXPERIENCE

I also suffered from PMS which included stomach bloating, sluggishness/tiredness, cramping and fluid retention.
